Overview

Kaufman Real Estate & Consulting LLC (“Kaufman Real Estate & Consulting LLC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates LandBriefing, a real estate market research and land-opportunity tracking product, as a practice of Kaufman & Company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through landbriefing.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

• Account information. If you request access to the live watchlist dashboard, we collect your name, email address, and a password. Passwords are cryptographically hashed (scrypt) and are never stored in plain text or sent back to your browser.
• Messages to Keystone. If you use Keystone, our AI concierge chat widget, the questions you type are sent to our server to generate a response and may be processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to answer your question. We also apply a per-IP rate limit to that endpoint to prevent abuse.
• Scheduling information. If you book a strategy call, scheduling is handled by Calendly, a third-party service with its own privacy practices, and any information you enter in our qualification questionnaire (name, email, phone, project details) is used to prepare for that conversation.
• Contact requests. The "Get in Touch" and related contact links on the Site open a pre-filled email to us in your own email client; we do not collect that information on our server unless you choose to send the email.

Analytics and Cookies

The Site does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. To keep you signed in to the dashboard after you log in, we use your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to hold a signed session token, which you can clear at any time by signing out or clearing your browser data.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to operate and secure the Site, evaluate and manage account access requests, respond to your questions (including through Keystone), prepare for scheduled strategy calls, and comply with our legal obligations.

Sharing of Information

We share information with the service providers that help us run the Site: Netlify (hosting and secure data storage for accounts), Anthropic (processes Keystone chat messages to generate responses), Resend (delivers an email notification to our admin when someone requests dashboard access), and Calendly (scheduling). We may also share information within the Kaufman & Company family of affiliated practices for the purposes described in this policy. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

We retain account and request information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. An administrator can revoke dashboard access at any time, and Keystone chat messages are not retained beyond what is needed to generate a response and enforce rate limits.

Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or ask us to revoke your dashboard account, by contacting us at info@kaufmanredev.com.

Third-Party Links

The Site links to third-party services and sites, including Calendly, Crexi, LandWatch, LoopNet, Zillow, our Substack, and other Kaufman & Company family sites (such as kaufmanrealestateandconsulting.com and bridgestar.ai). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; please review their own policies.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect, including hashing passwords and gating dashboard access behind individual, admin-approved accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
